MONTHLY BOARD MEETING
OF THE AIHCN
JANUARY 15, 2003
We had a great turn out for the meeting at the American Indian Council office last Wednesday, thank you all for coming.
Virginia opened meeting Mr. Johnson was unable to make it as he was at a meeting himself.
Introductions were made around the room. It was great to meet and see everyone.
The Christmas Party was discussed and the success of the event. Everyone enjoyed the party and the food.
Plans for the balance of the grant: Brooke stated that there was some money left over. A committee was formed for another event, maybe at March Easter time.
Plans were discussed about Virginia giving presentations at church’s and social events for any group that may be interested in Breast and Cervical cancer issue’s.
Virginia said she moved from the 5th floor to the 4th floor if any one was interested in getting in touch with her.

Kim Kimminau for the Kansas Health Institute was at the meeting. She told the members of the outcome on the meeting in Wichita, Kansas December 11, 2002.
April 9-10, 2003 there will be a Breast and Cervical Cancer conference in Manhattan, Kansas. Further details will be available possibly at our next meeting. Ms. Neff may have some information regarding the conference. Hope all can attend that can attend. Thanks to Ms. Neff for the pocket planner and the other big planner.
Cancer Survivor Rally is for June 1st, 2003; further details may be available at our next meeting.
The next meeting of the AIHCN will be at the American Cancer Society in Merriam, Kansas, February 19, 2003. The address is 6700 Antioch, Suite 100.
I hope we have a turnout like we did at the last meeting. It was good to see everyone there. Jeff Umbriet of the American Cancer Society will be e-mailing the directions, I will be sure to forward them out.
If I have omitted any information of the up-coming events please let me know so I can revise the minutes, I want to make sure I have all the information available to all the members.
