Coalition of Hispanic Women Against Cancer January 2003
The Coalistion met in January, naming Clara Reyes Chairwoman of the Coalition of Hispanic Women Against Cancer for this Kansas City based group.  Dr. Ximena Ilbaca-Somoza, outgoing Chairman of the coalition, welcomed Mrs. Reyes and thanked all the coalition members who work so hard to provide cancer screenings to all medically-underserved women.  
 
Mrs. Reyes, along with her husband, Manuel, are publishers of the bi-lingual DOS MUNDOS weekly newspaper that has served Greater Kansas City Spanish-speaking community since 1981. Mrs. Reyes is a breast cancer survivor and an outspoken advocate of early detection as the best protection against breast cancer.
   Members of this coalition include representatives from:
